All is well that ends well.. Isn't it?

The show is over. With the likes of Vikram Mathias and Narain Karthikeyan showing up, Thrissur Motor Show 2008 has won it's place among the top motor shows. With more than 30,000 viewers barging in over the three days, Thrissur Motor Show 2008 was a people's show.

Inaugurated by Mr. Vikram Mathiyas, National Rally Champion, Red Rooster Rally Team, on 4th December in the heart of the 'pooram city', TMS'08 showcased world famous brands like Volkswagen, Hyundai, Tata and Yamaha. Added to the attractions were a Hummer H3, Mercedez Benz M class, S class, and many a modified cars and bikes. The show also hosted a competition for modified cars and bikes named Afterburn and Full Throttle.

Over the 3 days, officers from the Motor Vehicle department engaged talks on various aspects of driving and safety. The talk on Speeding really addressed the need of the hour as we are seeing a surge in the number of accidents due to overspeeding. The motor vehicle department also showcased the latest addition to the department , The Interceptor.

The Air Show titled Aerospace Central was the added attraction. Miniature airplanes and helicoptors from the private collection of Doha based NRI Mr. Kunjai left the crowd gaping at the skies. The planes which could be flown on a remote over a range of two kilometers are mostly imported and was for the first time in thrissur.

The 2008 version of Thrissur Motor Show also saw 'The Fastet Indian on Road", Mr.Narain Karthikeyan in it's closing.Brought over by our Main Sponsors, BPCL, he is The first and only indian ever to drive in an F1 race, he lives the joke "i don't drive fast, i fly low". Over an interactive session, NK urged all to follow the heart and make the go if you feel like it.

If you do not count the minor glitches that came from the part of the organisors, overlooking a few things here and there, (which can very well be attributed to inexperience in handeling a programme the size of Thrissur Motor Show) we promised we'll rewrite history in 2008, and i bloody well feel we did it. But that's not all. next year, same brand name, more excitement. Wait for thrissur Motor Show 2009. We're already on the roll.
